Patriot Road Trip Recap

Philly, Boston, and whether the Founding led us to gay race communism

Last week, I visited Boston for the first time. I stopped in Philadelphia for a few hours on the way up to do a little sightseeing. I saw the Liberty Bell, which is preceded by a dozen or so displays that celebrate gay race communism. Is this what the Founding Fathers intended for America? And if not, how the hell did we wind up here?

I spent most of the trip in Boston. I talk about my first impressions of the city, the food scenes, encountering photographs of naked fat black women at the Museum of Fine Arts, exploring the North End (Little Italy), seeing various historical sites, taking the train north to visit the town that inspired Lovecraft’s Innsmouth, and much more.
