On the latest episode of Restoring Order, I cover next week’s midterm elections because what the hell else would I talk about?
First, I state my big-picture predictions: we lose the House and keep the Senate. Then I review polling on key Senate and gubernatorial races. Will Mike Rogers, Ken Paxton, and Vivek Ramaswamy win? Next, I discuss Trump’s main failure: he hasn’t stopped the deep state from sneaking into my apartment and rearranging my shoes. But credit where credit’s due, he has limited legal immigration beyond my expectations. Toward the end of the first half, I review some non-polling data that points toward a suboptimal Republican performance on Tuesday.
In the second half of the show, I discuss Abdul El-Sayed’s black problem. The brothas and sistas just don’t like him. Mike and Kristi Rogers, on the other hand, appear to be well liked by the black community. I review some clips that reveal this dynamic, which, as a white man of color, I am uniquely qualified to discuss. Toward the end of the show, I explore what the polling data reveals about voters’ primary concerns going into midterms. What might those be? And can we trust right-wing influencers to accurately diagnose the cause of Republican underperformance after the fact? Tune in to find out.
