I recently wrote an article for The American Sun about Raw Egg Nationalist. You should read it if you haven’t already.
It wasn’t exactly intended as a critique of his work. By stating that egg slonking is a niche issue, I was not trying to downplay his advocacy for health and fitness. Those are clearly important issues. But in my view, they are not core issues.
So what are core issues ? Simply put, they are those issues which are essential and non-negotiable to the dissident right. They are what separate us, at least for now, from the mainstream right.
As I’ve argued many times, the dissident right has a unique role to play. One of our main tasks is to carve out and maintain a metapolitical space, primarily online, wherein wrongthink can flourish. We are necessary because most of the core issues – the tribal nature of man, group differences, anti-whiteness, demographic replacement, etc. – are verboten for obvious reasons.
I insist that these issues are essential and non-negotiable for two reasons. The first is that they are the most important. I am not fighting for an abstract set of values, I am fighting to ensure that my future children do not find themselves hated minorities. As such, there is no win scenario for me in which white people end up as hated minorities in the West.
The second, as previously stated, is that these issues, despite being the most important, are some of the least discussed in mainstream conservatism. Things have moved in the right direction in recent years – in large part thanks to us! – but much work still needs to be done.
Conversely, niche issues are those which are important but not essential. Health is a good example. While clearly very important, I can imagine a scenario in which we (peacefully) regain control of power centers in our countries, fix demographic problems, do away with affirmative action, repatriate foreigners, etc. – all without drastically reducing obesity, heart disease, or other health problems. Nonetheless, our coming regime will be sure to prioritize reversing man’s ongoing biological degradation.
